Yesterday ended up being a very productive and fun day ... I was productive in the workout arena ...
Morning: Group Ride
Afternoon: I actually almost let my run go ... I had done cycling in the morning but I knew that today would not be the day for my long run ... it was such a beautiful day ... just perfectly crisp but SUNNY.
I will not lie, even though the day was perfect in terms of weather ... my mind was constantly going ... "should I get a short run in? 3 miles? 4? The 10 I had planned???" ... and that is how my run went ... thoroughly enjoying the run at times and at others just feeling tired ... mostly I think it was a mind thing ... except at the end ... once again my spleen is acting up ... I will have to research a little more into this ... I know it is not my breathing pattern.
I settled on an 8 mile run ... I think I could have gone for the additional two, but decided to call it a day ... I wish I had a pace with a 9 in front of it ... but, yesterday it was not the day to do it. I am trying hard not to concentrate on my pace and be more forgiving ... it is a process.
After my run I was ready to get into bed and rest the day away ... but fortunately my daughter had other plans ... she wanted to go out to dinner and a movie with her boyfriend and since neither is yet mobile we decided to go out to dinner with them - separate tables - :) - and to our movie - different movies - :)
Tittina and M.
I ended up asking M.'s (the boyfriend), parents to go out with us ... I really enjoy their company so it ended up being a great evening for grown ups and children ...OK, teenagers alike.
We went to Firebirds ... on my way there I was intent on eating a salad and a baked potato ... (both which I love) and decided to forego the filet mignon that used to be go to dinner, but last time I was there I was just not pleased with the meat.
A quick trip to our table and across the plates of other patrons led me to the prime rib ... UNBELIEVABLE ... it was amazingly delicious.
I really enjoyed the company and the dinner was spectacular ...
My friend R.'s husband made fun of my iPhone plate taking pics ... I tried to explain why I take these pics and what I do with them ... he was lucky I did not bring my real camera ... :)
It is hard to explain to some why I enjoy taking pics of food and why I enjoy blogging ... especially because I am not in a particular category ... I do not usually write recipes down, I am not a particularly good runner, I am not a "healthy blog writer", etc., etc. Basically, I enjoy reading blogs of others and hope others enjoy mine. I like spending time writing the blogs and it actually helps me concentrate in other things except to running to the computer only for work.
I hope you enjoyed your Saturday ... and that you are enjoying your Sunday however you choose to spend it!
... a dopo ... J
