... long run sunday ...

Today was my long run day ... 10 miles ... that seems to be my threshold ... I feel OK until I hit 10 miles ... I won't lie it is hard, but I can do it.

So today I set out to run bright and early ... OK, not that early but for a Sunday 8 - 8:30 is not that bad right!

Below ... my attempt at an iPhone self-pic ... I told you I do not know how to use the iPhone camera.

Sorry ...

That is my baby following me around! Love my Dante!

It was extremely cold ... well, for me 12 C ... as you know that for me is freezing ... famous for overdressing I fought with me, myself and I in order to not overdress ... I kid you not it was (felt) cold ...

This is me getting ready for my run ... it is horrible picture ... but it shows my beautiful sweat pink tank ... I love it!

... my run as always has its ups and downs ... usually when my mind is 100% there is something in my body that wants to make its presence known ... today it was my knee ... I felt a little pain in my normal spot ... but the knee was really troublesome ... I did not know if I should continue ... or if I should stop ... I did not want another injury ... I slowed down a little and kept on going.

Of course I was aided by the new route and the beautiful scenery.

I was so happy to complete my run ... the last mile ... well ... lets just say I was ready for the run to be over ... happy, but exhausted ... the temperature was perfect ... it was not hot at all, with a light breeze ...

***

I arrived home at 11:00 ... ready to get in some last minute advice and happy conversation with my daughter and her friends ... it felt so good to laugh with them ...

... and here we are enjoying lunch before she is off with her friends to SPRING BREAK 2012 ...  I can't believe that I feel like crying ... I guess just feeling college so close ... everything is a last this or last that or first this or first that ... she is 4 hours away and I miss her ... I love her ...

Now time to get some energy to take my Dante on a walk ...

The house without the kids feels empty ... :(

I miss them ...

... hope you are having a wonderful Sunday ... a dopo! J

... and oh, I had some laps at 9 something ... OK, very close to 10/mi., but the number had a 9 as the first number, right?  I would give you more details, but my beloved new Garmin is not uploading ... I really have yet to understand the ins and outs ...

OK, now really ... a dopo ... J
