... dinner after the show ...

Yesterday morning I could hardly move and my bed just seemed liked the best place to be ... I woke up at WEST coast time so I know I am just exhausted.

I really did not know if I could go to the gym and be on my feet knowing that I had another day ahead of me on my feet.

I gathered my strength and went for a 45 minute bike ride that felt great!  I am very proud for being able to exercise thus far on a tradeshow trip ... however as I write this words ... feeling my legs and my lower back ... I do not think if I will make it today!

This of course was yesterday!

If you read my blog you know I love cooking and love making elaborate dishes when my schedule permits ... I am not a breakfast eater, except on trips ... and also I can be boring in my choices ... and that is why my frequent readers will not be surprised to see that my breakfast for the 3rd day in a row has consisted of this:

I decided to focus on the bread to give a "new" look on a very familiar menu on my menu lately.  The wheat toast is deliciously buttery and there is always red raspberry jam on the table ... YUM ... Side note:  the fruit was returned, there was no fresh cut on that plate ...

I usually try to walk the show ... this time we were short staffed and this is the only shot I could get of many glorious teas on my way to get some water!

I insisted after shows end that we dismantle the booth instead of spending thress hours today.  That is the type of person I am and with some grunts and ahhh from the team, they obliged ...

Building "down" the booth take a second compared to setting it up and by 7:30 everything was packed and ready to go.

Time to go to dinner and tonight we had a special treat ... Tojo's ... the creator of the California Roll.

Instead of going to the restaurant we decided to sit at the sushi bar to be entertained by Tojo himself.

First course - Tuna Tartare with Uni Sauce

Second course: Lobster Chowder
Third course: Paper Thin Octopus

Fourth Course: Red Snapper and Rice Crackers

Fifth Course: Lobster Handroll with Asparagus and Spicy Sauce
Sixth Course: Lobster Roll
Seventh Course: the freshest Toro Tuna ever!

Eigth Course: Cucumber Roll with Lobster
Ninth and (sneaked in course): Sweet Prawns
The tradeshow was up to this point a success ... dinner was exquisite, but oh my poor feet and back ... lets see if I can get a ride in ... I just cannot bear the thought of running ... (treadmill no less!)

... buona giornata ... a dopo ... J
